One of the great therapeutic aspects of art is that I often create 'characters' to support me in whatever internal process I'm going through. "Apricot Henry" emerged during one particularly rough winter. He is the embodiment of what I want to become: carefree, joyful, light, open. Just a happy dude enjoying the morning. Lately, I feel I'm becoming more and more like him, and that, to me, means I'm on the right track.
