An homage to one of my favorite artists, this piece was probably the most challenging I've ever done, and the one that taught me the most.
(During his life, Van Gough was not a respected artist at all. He was considered crazy, and his art was considered ridiculous and worthless. He suffered deeply, but never stopped channeling the beauty of life through his art--despite what everyone said. Obviously, things changed dramatically after his death, but he wasn't around to see that. He stayed true to himself while alive, driven by what was inside, not what was outside. This kind of courage and conviction is something I aim to cultivate more and more of in my own life.)
